In 1972, when I started making holsters by hand on the kitchen table, it was never my intention to make it my life's work. Over fifty years later, DeSantis Gunhide® has grown to be one of the largest holster manufacturers in the world. We are very proud of our position in the industry and will continue to work hard to remain at the top. Quality control has been, and always will be, our number one priority. A major part of our philosophy is to provide products that not only look appealing but also function flawlessly.

DeSantis Gunhide® is synonymous with innovative designs, high standards of craftsmanship and dependability. From the streets of Amman, to the bridges of London and the jungles of the Amazon, our products can be found in all corners of the earth. DeSantis is, and will remain, a trusted name. We take great pride in our products and in our newest facility on Long Island, NY.

This year we are very excited to introduce several new products including our Cargo Nemesis®, our new trigger locking, lightweight holster, The Facilitator™ and the new IWB holster, The Intruder™. Our original model, the Gunny Sack®, has become the most copied and imitated holster in the industry. Another one of my original designs, incorporating a lock-hole into a traditional pancake holster, is now the standard for many Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. We continue to create the new standards that others follow. Our record of innovation and timely delivery are among the reasons we enjoy your repeat business.

My sons are now taking over the day to day operations, and to say the least, they are doing a magnificent job! They have introduced our operation to ISO certification, computer aided design, and together with our operations team, we have modernized our processing system. They are the future of DeSantis Gunhide®, and believe me you are in very good hands!

Over the years, DeSantis Gunhide has been asked to create many different products, and many of them have made it into the ranks of our catalogued line. On very rare occasions, we have made one of a kind items including custom holsters for a past United States president. Listening to our customers has been a worthwhile experience for both DeSantis and the end user. Although we have largely limited our custom work to Federal Law Enforcement Agencies and Police Departments, we are now prepared to consider special orders for the individual end user.

The custom shop will also produce holsters for guns that are no longer manufactured, and those that sell in small numbers. In the past these holsters had been available, and we are pleased to report that now they can be purchased again, on a special order basis. There will be a $50.00 minimum charge for these non-inventoried items.
